Favorite play in the film?

I personally love the one where Baptiste is trying to hang himself with the rope. Wonderful black humor.

An interesting sidenote: the version of Othello in the film stops long before Shakespeare did. In the original the death of Desdemona is not the end but Othello learns how he has been gulled by Iago- a much bigger character than depicted in the film too.

Yes I noticed this too and wondered if truncating Shakespeare's play was going to be symbolic of a death to come in the film, i.e. Garance being strangled by one of the men. But this didn't happen.

My favourite is the farce created by Lemaitre writing his own version of the play in which he is supposed to be killed!
