cut scenes?

I read a customer review on Amazon complaining that the VHS had at least 2 major scenes cut. I was wondering if anyone knows what they were and whether or not they are in the version aired on TCM.

If you're watching 'Fullscreen' DVDs, you aren't getting the whole picture.

The version shown on TCM seems intact. If you look on the Left Hand side here on IMDB for this movie under Fun Stuff --Alternate Versions --it tells you that the VHS version ran 78 min. and that the cuts are mostly in the first half. There was a very important scene with Dorothy McGuire at a dance with soldiers. I can't imagine why that scene was cut, poignant and disturbing and pivotal to her character.

TCM did show the movie in Dec. and Jan.--I hope they show it again soon. Why isn't this on DVD?
THere are so many that have not been released--"My Foolish Heart", "Bright Victory", "I Want You"--all war/romance themes as well.

Thanks for the information. Glad to know it's intact. I agree that the scene at the canteen necessary.
