WOW, hearing that and repeating it brought tears to my eyes. Imagine the lifelong dream of finding someone to love and the hope to one day be loved going completely out the window with just one paragraph. Great scene!

I can relate! it IS a powerful scene and I can't even imagine someone writing that today.
My favorite scene is when Natwick tells them, "what is there to be sorry about, really?" and she tells them the "secret" of the cottage is that love gives you a gift of sight not granted to others.
I really think this movie is so special. I wish it were on DVD!!!

Yes it's powerful movie. That scene was so incredible. The movie in general is tear jerker.
