Aged but well worth a look....


I bet in 1945 this was a real chiller. The mirror and dummy episodes were the most compelling they could have left out the golf segment-that was a waste.

I still am not sure what happened-he kept having the same dream with the others does that mean he and the others are in hell? And if so why?

Very interesting movie with old style horror.

A great set up.
By presenting it like that, we are left to our own devises, as to what it means.

Are they in hell?
Are they all parts of his dream?
Are they all parts of someone else's dream?

I haven't seen this movie since I was a kid (30 years ago). This movie still gets to me ( I just rented it) even if it does look really dated. The last 15 minutes or so of this movie just gives me the creeps. I agree with the other poster that said the golf story could've been left out.

It's amazing but you can see in so many shows/movies how they've been influenced by the themes in this movie. Everything from Twilight Zone to The Sixth Sense can give a thank you nod to Dead Of Night.
