the trailer for this film ...

has any body else noticed that imdb has got the wrong trailer up for this film ,instead its a trailer for a much more modern film called dead of the night set in a lighthouse!!!

(does that mean that there is no trailer available for this film, because i would love to see how the film was marketed for its release!)

I noticed that as well. In fact, a couple of years ago, when I heard 'Dead of Nigt' was coming out on dvd, I assumed it was the 1945 one, instead it was the lighthouse film (which I never saw) But now the original is out on dvd (finally!) although with no trailer. I've seen the movie poster though, and it's very rare!

Hello Angel Storm 1: I see that there are numerous "responses" to your question here, none of which are even close to what you have asked. The answer is "Yes, there IS a trailer that was put out at the time of the initial release of Dead of Night." Although I have not been able to find any copy of it for viewing on line (and I have looked everywhere), I have a 16mm copy of the trailer and it is every bit as spooky as you would expect for this great movie. I would love to put it up on YouTube, but would have to "video" it off the screen in my living room. I can try doing this, but doubt the quality would be anything I would want to put my name to. The content of the trailer is typical for the 1940's and consists of scenes from the movie, music and many lurid titles in "spooky" fonts. The first one announces "There is EVIL in this room." It builds from there. Hope this helps answer your 8 year old question (although I doubt you will see it at this late date).
