British Wartime Cinema Work
One can almost sense the precarious nature of the European situation, at the time. One false step and the British Isles could have fallen to the Reich. There must be a book out there about Ealing during the War.

shareExcellent point! Ealing produced some remarkable films, especially during the war years. I think of films that likely began as propaganda, but transcended their limitations and genre to became truly great films, such as 'Went The Day Well?' (1942).
I would love to find such a book on Ealing Studios. Once again, nice insight!
There are loads of them on the Amazon site. It's a question of weeding out the duds!
