I've evidently missed something. How did the husband (I think it was him) of the woman Ronnie supposedly killed previously suddenly show up at the beach house to run after Ronnie and cause him to fall off the cliff into the ocean? How did he know Ronnie was way out there at Dr. Silla's house?

All we know is that Alice's husband - Thomas Turner - knew that Marsh / Mason had done for his wife and had been after him, and obviously succeeded. Just how.. well, I guess it's not important. He was a plot device to have the bad guy killed off, with non of 'our' good people being involved. Heck, even Mr Turner didn't actually kill him...

Near the beginning of the movie, the cops told him the only way they could continue with the case against Ronnie was if he came up with more evidence. Apparently he pursued this course until he tracked Ronnie down and tried to capture him.
