Scorned?

How was Helene 'scorned' when she was the one that broke it off with Jean?

reply

She was apparently "testing" his love for her and he failed. Women and their mind games.

Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose.

Oh gee what a misogynist remark. Like men don't do the same exact things. The only time I see women fighting is usually over some man who has been playing all kinds of games with them.

In the process of breaking up with Jean she realised that he was content with the break because he felt the same as she said she did BUT did she feel this way truly or was she trying to force him into an ultimatum position? She decides to wreak vengeance because she is distraught the next morning and later admits he is the only person she could imagine marrying. In these respects her feelings for him are scorned by him.
