Second wife
At the beginning of the movie, Carson and his 2nd wife, Ellen (?), are at a cliff. Wonder who the actress is who played Ellen. Didn't see her listed in the credits.
shareI think we both watched this on TCM, as I had the same thought (I had DVR'd it, and he called her Evelyn, incidentally). She's not even among the "uncredited"s here, either, but she certainly seemed familiar. Could she have been Lupita Tovar, who also played the female dance partner, with a straight American accent, and different make-up, hairstyle, etc., doing double duty? After all, this character dies right then, well before the other enters the picture, and once she does the emphasis is on her brother, played by Anthony Caruso.
