The tape started running out

The first time I ever saw this movie we had the original Sony Betmax recorder and the tapes were 1 hour long.

So one night, I'm channel surfing and happen to pick up channel 4 from Milwaukee, and I live in Chicago, so not too bad at that. Anyway I start getting tired and decide I'll tape the end of the movie and watch it the next day.

Fast forward to the next day, I'm sitting there watching the movie, sitting on the edge of my seat as more people get killed. Finally it's getting to the end and I look at the tape in the machine, the supply reel is getting smaller and smaller. Now I'm really climbing the walls because if the tape runs out before I find out "who dunit" then there might be some more murders in the very near future. Picture it, knuckles turning white as the movie reaches it's climax and the tape running out. Finally we find out the judge was behind it, and just as the closing credit start, the tape runs out.

What do I care at this point? I know who did it, and I was all ready to call the TV station in Milwaukee to see how the movie ended.

Does anyone else have any similar stories to tell about this movie?

All opinions are well reasoned and thought out, any similarity to reality is pure coindicence.
