Yep. Everyone Agrees a Remake should be made!

I just read this whole book in like 4 hours with a dinner break included, and I think that this book does need a modern day film of the book in its time period, and make it like a dark film. I think this film should defintely be remade, some other post I read on the 1960 something said Naiomi Watts should be in it and I think this would be good. This film should go for like a mystery/thriller/suspense film that is dark in tones and possibly Rated R for some graphic violent images.

A remake, of sorts, was made in the not too distant past. The film "Identity", starring John Cusack, Ray Liotta, Amanda Peet, and others, relies very heavily on the main theme of this movie, while also incorporating a new twist.

Decent film, definitely fits in the mystery/thriller/suspense genre you were wanting. Worth a video rental.
