and they have all made the same basic mistake - no one takes advantage to have the ending like the book. I think Anthony Hopkins would be great if they had a remake and hopefully have the ending as the book had.
shareApparently the Russian version, Desyat Negrityat, keeps the book's original ending. I haven't had a chance to see it myself though.

The Russian follows the book's plot, rather than the way that most of the film adaptations have taken. It's very much worth the watch too, if you don't mind reading subtitles.
