Gene's Fantasy Dance

I also loved the fantasy dance with Kelly as the masked hero leaping fences, scaling walls, and swinging on ropes to find his way to fantasy princess Grayson. Great choreography and photography all set to some magnificent music.

I loved that also, and i love when Kelly and Sinatra are dancing on the beds earlier on in the film.

I mentioned that dance on another thread...great dance number, tightly executed by Kelly and Sinatra.

That one is amazing. Though this is not one ove my favorite Gene Kelly movies, Of all his numbers that is one of my favorites. That man can move like no one else.

I loved Gene Kelly's very athletic style of dancing...Gene had an uncanny ability to make the art of dance look very manly...there was never anything effeminate about Gene when he danced. For me, Gene was a primary component in bringing dance for men out of the closet.

Well put, Isaac5855. This number was amazing.

As an aside, the part of that dance where Kelly grabs the curtain and swings across to the other side is listed on this web site as a goof because the curtain rises 10 feet and moves over about 5 feet. C'mon, it's a gd fantasy. There were so few mistakes they are grabbing any crumb they can scrape off the floor.

The Paso Doble/Tango was amazing. Its just a shame they put the 'tap' beats in.

Its that man again!!
