I missed the ending!!! Did the baby survive?
Yes! I am wiping tears from my eyes right now. Clark kind of yelled at him to "do it for his mother". Very powerful acting on his part--best part of the movie-in my opinion.
shareI'm wiping tears away as well -- from laughing so hard. The still photos of the baby were hilarious. And when they "unpaused" to get him to breathe -- man that was bad. Sorry to disagree, but the effects and dialogue in the final five minutes of this film should be served with crackers -- pure cheese.
shareI guess you're right. Perhaps I was vulnerable/emotional that early in the morning before my coffee. I read this was his first movie after Carole Lombard's untimely death and his acting was pretty erratic. "Valley of Decision" was on right after and that was my true reason for having TCM on--certainly not to watch Clark Gable!
