Scarlet Street is one of my favorites. The first time I saw it was when I picked up a dvd that had a collection of movies on it, and Scarlet Street happened to be one of them. It turned out to be my favorite on the dvd. I really like movies where Edward G. Robinson plays a mild mannered character. Your heart really goes out to him.

'Scarlet Street' is much darker than 'The Woman in the Window'. There are virtually no good characters in it. They are all evil (with the exception of the Inspector (played by Thomas Jackson who also played the Inspector in TWITW), JJ (Chris's boss at work) and Millie (Kitty March's friend).

And for this reason (amongst others), I submit that Scarlet Street is superior. Although I still like it very much, TWITW is marred by a cheap ending.

I just watched it. I really like them if it isn't so obvious it's a dream, so this was decent enough, and the ending was gone in a matter of seconds, practically.

I liked this. I think I've heard of Scarlett Street, but if it is better than this, I might have to keep an eye out for it.

I was reminded early on of Scarlet Street as they seemed very similar for about ten minutes.
Both are good films with good twists and turns. As should be expected of Fritz Lang.
