What's Jean Sullivan's story?

She only made three films and this was the first. She's very pretty here and she conveys the simple innocence of a French country girl quite adequately here. She could have had a substantial film career. What happened? From the scant info on IMDB it sounds like she had some damned good credentials. Did she move on to theater or dance?
