I watched this movie 40 years ago

For years I have waited to view this film since I first saw it as a young teenager in the 60s on DC's Channel 5 Sunday movie. At the time I was struck by the troubled youth's character and was fascinated by the bad seed's behavior. I was so looking forward to relive the enjoyment of the play I saw years ago. Unfortunately, in the 'original' version, the young antagonist does not capitulate to his new family's values; indeed, in the end he is alienated from his relatives for his wrongdoing. If you notice the sloppy editing, you will see there is room for the alternate ending. Badly done, TCM.

"DC's Channel 5 Sunday movie"

Hah! I remember! -- hehe

DC in da HOUSE, y'all!

Matter of fact, I used to watch all the All-Night Movies then, and it's where I first heard the name Barbara Stanwyck, my first female Classic Film personality to be noted by name. Of course, she was older then, but I thought that there was something awfully special to history about her...by the way they said her name "starring in" the movie. I love the memories. Thanks.

HAH! YES!

I saw this at least 50 years ago when I lived in L.A.

All I remembered was that there was this bad kid who hit a girl over the head and tried to kill her.

Because I was so young, I remember thinking the characters were teenagers (which they are - but young teens, not high school kids).

Amazing!
