Bogart as a boat captain... again

Just watched "To Have and Have Not" and realized here was Bogart again as a boat captain. I'd seen him before in "African Queen" and I know in private life he loved to sail. But I wondered how many times on screen had he played a boat captain or the film took place on a boat?

I haven't seen them all but just wondered how many we could come up with.

Of course, Bogart played Capt. Queeg in The Caine Mutiny.

I've never seen the movie, but from the preview clips that I've seen at least part of Passage to Marsaille takes place at sea.

The latter part of Key Largo takes place on a boat with Bogart being forced to pilot for the gangsters.

Bogart never quite makes onto the ship that gets burned in The Maltese Falcon.

yep..

Caine Mutiny , African Queen , To Have and Have Not , Key Largo..

not to mention the fact he was in the US Navy during WWI.

His boat was named The Santana , which was the name of his production company, and it was the name of the boat in key largo,.

Bogart is also seen on a ship, wearing the same type of sailor cap, while running rum in The Roaring Twenties, though he's not the captain of the ship.

Bogie was in the navy and owned a sailboat which he raced occasionally. He was very big on things nautical.

He plays the first officer of a merchant marine ship in Action in the North Atlantic, I think it's a pretty good movie.

key largo comes to mind immediately "first sweetheart was a boat", i can't get enough of that movie. funny part in this was when bogart tells the man he's an eskimo. bogarts sidekick being a complete alcoholic was discomforting to watch. actor from key largo here with a french accent.

something fell over me,
my mind and legs taken from me,
a hidden door i found,
to a power that took my soul for a ride,
a force i couldn't control with what once was i,
a heavy cross i bore, struggling to stay alive,
when the world was doomed for all, a better place waited at the shore,
and kept the door open for you and me,
when my body and mind were returned at me.
