Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo (song sung at the dance in Florida)

What was the name of the song that was sung at the dance while they were in Florida? Some of the words were "I love you, I love you, I love you.....?

reply

It's called "I love you, sweetheart of all my dreams" and was composed by Art Fitch. Hope that helps.

I suppose I'm late reading the message board on,"Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo".
But did not Doolittle's boys also have another song they cooked up? Someone amongst the air crews was supposed to have hijacked a tune out of Walt Disney's "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" and composed other words to it. It went. "Hi, ho, hi ho/ We're off to Tokyo/ We'll bomb and blast and come back fast/Hi ho, hi ho!" I read about it many years ago.
All the best and happy days to all. Smiley-39

Dear Mr. Smiley;

You may be correct. There's a reunion
planned for this summer. Five of the
eleven remaining 'raiders' will attend.

They've got a site on the web. So check
with your search engine etc.

Good luck.

Happy trails to all...

My friend's mother was one of the wives in that farewell dance scene in the film. One of her first jobs when she signed a 7 year contract at MGM. I spot her whenever it's on TCM.
