I would NOT want to play poker with General Doolittle...

For one simple reason--

If he can sit there and say to Lawson, "What about your wife? Does she know you're back??" When he already called her, and knows that she's probably already on her way, the fact that Doolittle could sit there with a straight face and act like he didn't know that he'd sent a plane ticket for Ellen and she was probably already on her way...makes me wonder if he lost any money on the Hornet playing poker.

Love that line just before Ted takes off, too:

Ted: When we get to Chungking, we'll tell 'em it was a Navy show, too!

Jig White (One of Ted's roommates): They'll know that when they see how broke you are! GOOD HUNTING!!
