Why the title change?

When this movie was released, it was called <i>The Fighting Sullivans.</i> Why was the word "Fighting" dropped? Has political correctness gone this far? Ridiculous!

Bob Osborne said it was originally released as "The Sullivans" and only titled "The Fighting Sullivans" with later releases.

True. From what I know, The Sullivans was not a hit, and subsequent reissues likely changed the title slightly so as to make the movie seem less depressing.
