It's fairly obvious, and not as smoothly done as it could be, but it was a bit of fun in this film.
It's not a great, great film, but it's fun to watch over a bowl of popcorn. Gloria DeHaven is gorgeous, Ol' Blue Eyes is very skinny, but had that special magic even back then.
You're absolutely right! I saw that movie on cable back in the eighties and fell in love with Gloria ever since! But i was also fascinated by the chemistry between Frank and Gloria in the Come Out Come Out number which was by far my favorite! It took me a while to find it on VHS. When i bought it on DVD recently, i was disappointed by the lousy audio in that number ONLY, specifically when Sinatra started to sing! Talk about bad luck! The rest of the movie was fine! Oh well...I still got the old VHS tape which was better re-mastered.
