Successfully Slipping One Past the Hayes Office Censors

The boys on this one DID IT... and they managed to tweek the director's nose at the same time!

In Hitler's "German" ranting during his speech, he uses a Yiddish word in one phrase... "Schtupp Fritz Freling"!

If I were to DIRECTLY tell you what "Schtupp" tranlates to in English, this entry would probably get deleted!

Let me put it this way...

In the Bible, there is a line that goes something like "...and Lot KNEW his wife".

Well... in this film, "Hitler" (voiced by Mel Blanc) instructs you to "KNOW" his boss, the director, Fritz Freling!

What STILL amazes me is that IT ALL GOT PAST THE HAYES OFFICE CENSORS!!!

A TRIUMPH of Free Speech over the Bluenoses!!! HURRAH!!!

I'd like to believe Warner Bros. did indeed slip that one by. But I think Blanc's Hitler is saying "Shtop (Stop)", not "Schtupp". We'll never really know. :D

When I watched this cartoon, I thought I heard "schtunk" as in stunk.
I'm not sure at all, I watched the cartoon in an awful quality video.

"It was to be announced at the Party Congress on Monday. As you know, the Premier loves surprises."
