Pretty cool seeing Bela in London during the Blitz.

The two Brits in the graveyard was a great addition.

A surprisingly good entry in the vampire/horror genre, considering that it wasn't something Columbia Pictures had much of a reputation for - but this one seems to combine elements of James Whale's dark humor and the moody atmosphere of a Val Lewton film.

Didn't the Nazis though just bomb military targets in London? This movie implicates that Germany was bombing civilian targets. I know America bombed civilian targets in Japan in 1945 with their 2 bombs

The Luftwaffe were targeting the docks area in East London rather than being totally indiscriminate. But as you can guess a lot of housing was bombed through misfires etc.
