Andreas and the 'laundry bundle'

I read another post where somebody goofed on the laundry roll that Andreas carries....gee, vampires need someone to do their laundry? :) Well, I recall reading elsewhere (maybe it was in a Lugosi biography) that this film got heavily re-edited prior to release. All the scenes with the laundry roll were ultimately to convey when Andreas went to meet the real Bruckner, killed him, and took his belongings to Tesla. The way the re-editing came out, it appears as if he's often carrying a bundle for different reasons and different times, making little sense of the purpose of it.

If anyone can add to this, please do, especially any evidence of an original edit and perhaps early responses by audiences leading to the need for a re-edit, if that's what happened.....

Werewolves must be good at doing laundry since he always seems to carrying some in a number of scenes. His mole also changed from his left cheek to his right in one scene.

Landry has always been very important to a werewolf. So many times in various movies, we see before the transformation the person wearing different clothes than after the transformation. It makes me think they have a secret stash somewhere of clothes around so they can easily change. This movie corrects the plot hole in the original Wolf Man. What the movie was showing us was exactly that. He was leaving random clothes around so he could easily change while being under the curse of the werewolf
