The Governor and his son

The Governor who betrays the Americans is uncredited, as is his son. Ridiculous, considering the importance of their roles. They both did a good job. Anyone know who they are? I was going to look both of them up.

I found the answers and updated the film's cast and the actors' filmographies.

H.T. Tsiang - Governor Yuen Chiu Ling
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0874986/

Benson Fong - Moy Ling
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0284538/

Fong looked familiar, and looking at his filmography I can see why. I have a feeling I may have seen him in other stuff which he's not credited for. His brave, dignified sacrifice was very well handled by actor and script/director - not too sentimental, very sympathetic. Nice looking fellow, too.

Tsiang not so familiar, but he's in at least one film I've seen. I really, really like his grovelling two-faced performance. On the dvd commentary, Schickel says the performance needed reigning in. I don't agree. The whole film is very stylised, with elements of archetypal fable, rather than sticking to realism. Tsiang's performance is great in this sense and doesn't seem out of place to me at all. Also it's very funny.

minor spoiler

with my suspicious nature, at first i wondered if that scene was a set-up so the soldiers would trust the son, and maybe tell him things in the prison below.
