Calendar Tells Us All

First I understand the need for WW2 propaganda films ... they needed bodies and money bad and it was used to inspire/manipulate. Secondly I am familiar with the Doolittle raid ... but when watching this film I thought I know nothing of this trial ... I should know this. But something is fishy about this film that made me think it was very fictional. Here's my point.

Doolittle raid 4-18-42
Trail of USAAC men in China (not Japan) ... 10-14-42
NOTE: 3 went to trial ... not 8
Execution of 3 on trail ... day after trial's conclusion
This film ... ready for release in 1943 ... is delayed by US government for a full year to 1944
1944 ... 4th USAAC man dies in Japanese custody
August 1945 ... remaining 4 released from prison at war's end

Here's my point ... the filmmakers had no ideal what actually happened until 2 years after the film was completed! In short almost all of this film is total bull---t!

Like I said I understand the need for WW2 propaganda ... films are powerful and inspirational ... but when propaganda is fictionalized it becomes nefarious manipulation. I am not good with that!
