Pretty Enjoyable + learned something too

This is a cute, sometimes clever movie on a shoestring budget.

What I learned about from it was what I'd call the, "Haley Schtik".
Mock surprise, clever quips, lots of body language in ways that draw
the viewer's eye (Remember how Tinman would always make a point by
waving his arm up in a circle and pointing his finger?), rolling his
eyes. It's Tinman Redux and even though that might sound like lack of
acting depth I think instead it's just clever technique by an actor who
knew what worked for him. I want to see more Haley leads.

The movie has little going for it otherwise. Bela Lugosi is more of a
Prop in this; A role I've read he was forced into more and more in order
to get work. Lyle Talbot also has a role in this. Fans of "Mesa of Lost
Women" will recognize his voice. The 50-film Horror Classics Box set is
the way to get this movie and as another said, many of them are found
only here whether they are stinkers or not. It makes me wonder where is
that "lost vault" that sits on all these Moldy-Oldies (& Maybe many more?).

Enjoy,

Andrew

I agree. This movie is no masterpiece but I found it to be quite entertaining with some nice visuals & pleasant humor. I'm in the middle of watching the Classic 50 horror-film box set myself. So far the only other Lugosi one that I've watched is "Black Dragons" and I didn't like that one at all.

Just saw this on DVD last night, I've been home sick and going mad from inactivity; this movie was a decent time killer and helped preserve my sanity just a bit longer.

I enjoyed the movie very much . Bela Lugosi was good and the story itself was very interesting,, kind of like an old time Clue.

are you going to bark all day little doggie,, or are you going to bite
