The running time as listed on this site is 75 minutes, and even the box for the DVD I have says 75 minutes yet the film I saw came in at 71 minutes. Has something been cut out?

35mm Film is projected at 24 frames per second, but the DVD version is played at around 25 frames per second.
The difference is usually not noticeable to the eye. Over the course of a typical 90 minute film the difference amounts to around four to five minutes, so identical works will have different run times.
