Mazurki is quite the man as "Moose" Malloy;

though he plays quite dumb in parts of the flic he in reality was a college grad...I almost used an exclamation...but that's acting(!)

Through the years he was typed-cast but,hey,it was a living.

However,he did it well and was dependable-and,I might add memorable:here in this flic along with Dark City-1950 and many others.

Truly a fine yeoman character actor and from friends I know:a decent human being and a nice gentleman.

Regret I never met this fellow Ukrainian and regret further we don't see these "types"too much(R.Kiel-another gentle giant)too often.

Mazurki may have been a college grad, but that's not where he got his thuggish face.

The aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed and clamorous to be led to safety.

Mike's got 40 miles of bad road on display in that kisser,but it makes him worthy of being one of the best when it comes to menace & grimace !

I love rugged handsome. Mike Mazurki reminds me of my great dane.

I am a fellow Ukrainian, too. The actor who platef the owner of Florian's was also Ukrainian.
