why so many musical numbers

I saw this the other night and got a little tired of the "comedy trio" that kept performing.
The movie itself is only about 1 hr long so don't you think that 3 musical numbers is a bit much?
They must have been the nieces of the director.

Back in them days slop went far; just like 2day, actually.

Reference is inscrutable because there is nothing to scrute.

I enjoyed those musical numbers. I don't mind the fact that they were included in the movie.

Musical numbers were always put in comedies for some reason in those days. Luckily today we have fast forward buttons for that

This film is a musical, so musical numbers are a part of the film.

I didn't fast-forward through the music here. I enjoyed the performances! There weren't too many of them.

I liked 'The Boogie Woogie Bogeyman' song the trio sang with their shadows dancing about on the wall behind them. It would make a good nostalgic Halloween video.
