Only 8 days to film this??!!

I know they churned them out pretty quickly back then, but only 8 days to film this movie? Some TV shows take that long, and they're only 22 minutes. From the 'Trivia' section for this movie:
Second of Lon Chaney Jr.'s three "Mummy" features, filmed from August 23-September 1, 1943, but not released until June 30, 1944
