Kosleck

Though this is the weakest of the 5 in the series,i single out Martin Koslek because for me he's Mr.Dependable : he's always good and delicious as a conniver,a backstabber or all around baddie >

Ya know, I thought he was so great in whatever he was in. Especially enjoyed him in Flesh Eaters and also in Pursuit to Algiers - in the 1990's, I wrote to him and got his autograph.

I had been writing to actors, mostly golden age of Hollywood era, since I was a pre-teen, writing just really nice letters appreciative of their careers and how much enjoyment they've given me with their performances, and also nicely asking for an autograph, and including a stamped self addressed envelope to make it easier for them. In the 90's, realizing that alot of the actors I really liked were getting older, I kicked it into high gear and got some very awesome additions to my collection, including Joseph Cotten, Gregory Peck, Victor Mature, John Abbott, Alexander Knox, John Agar, Whit Bissell, and of course Martin Kosleck.

In my letter to Mr. Kosleck, I raved about Flesh Eaters, just a real favorite of mine, creepy and atmospheric. He not only sent me his autograph, but wrote a letter back to me, and let me know that they filmed that movie over a period of a couple of years - it was in a resort area, and they would begin filming right when the summer tourist season was over.

It was a very cool thing to get in the mail!!
