The great Agnes Moorehead

Brilliant as usual. Contrast her character in this with her character in Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte. Is there anything this woman couldn't play?

reply

Not only "brilliant," but what really shocked me was that she was gorgeous! Usually dowdy in her roles, but NOT in THIS movie as the Baroness!

Okay folks, show's over, nothing to see here!

Hedy laMarr, the epitome of beauty, was once asked who she thought among her peers was beautiful, and she said Agnes Moorehead. BTW, they made a movie together, a comedy, "Her Highness and the Bellboy."

I agree, highly underrated, like a better looking Bette Davis. I know it's trite but look at how effortlessly she plays Endora on Bewitched, and how the comedy quotient ratchets up a notch whenever she's in the show.

It took me a second to realize it was her. I was watching this just to see her, looking for someone motherly. When she come on I was like.."Hey..that's her!" Indeed, looking very classy and beautiful.
