Kill Kitty

Not a bad movie.

However I found the character Kitty Langley so a self centered and shallow that I was hoping for her demise.

Also what is up with Inspector Warwick? When he seemed to threaten Kitty in the black museum I thought that he was just as dangerous as Mr. Slade.

Mr. Slade the best character in the movie.

Heh heh yeah that's a pretty odd scene. Still, you know how women are - most of them would probably fall all over themselves if George Sanders threatened them with physical violence. It's the voice.

What's the Spanish for drunken bum?

The idea that you believe any woman would "fall all over [herself]" when threatened with violence just because the predator in question had an attractive voice is really frightening. You need help.

It's not just some thug, it's George Sanders. He's got, like, one of the best voices.

Come on, people, Sanders wasn't seriously threatening her with violence. He was impatient that she was playing coy to his advances. She was interested in him but was being cool, leading him on. Both of them were playing the game and there was no danger to her, whatsoever.

These characters had been on screen for half a movie before this scene happened and you have no idea of the nature of their inner motivations? For crying out loud.....

Kill Kitty.

Okay, psycho. Kitty did nothing to give anyone the impression of being 'self centered and shallow' at all. Clearly she likes attention, like most pretty young women, but she is respectful and caring towards other people throughout, including the has-been actress nobody else cared for.

As for the Inspector's 'threat', it was clearly a joke.

Agree with ManinOil, Kitty is a most sympathetic character and Oberon is very beautiful. You might want to get some help, fibermn.

I found Kitty as sweet and kind.

What a strange thing to say considering Kitty was always nice to everyone, including Jack The Ripper (it's strange though that she didn't seem to get much in the way of any creepy vibes from that constantly strange-behaving and sometimes rather overtly menacing lodger of theirs).

He didn't threaten her. He was obviously kidding.
