Deleted Scenes?

Does anyone know if there are scenes from this film that have been deleted from the DVD copy?

On the cast list, there's a listing for a character that I know did not appear. He's supposed to be a priest at the seminary -presumably there are supposed to be scenes showing Chisolm's time as a seminarian.

Anyone know the answer?

I'm not sure at all, but it is very standard for a film to have several deleted scenes, especially book adaptations. I wouldn't be surprised if several scenes ended up on the cutting room floor. But as you pointed out, there are no deleted scenes on the most recent DVD release.
