What's up with Janie? - SPOILER ALERT

Janie is quite the girl about town. First she's tight with Scooper then blows him off the minute Dick rolls into town. She promises to be true and to wait for Dick, even accepting his ring. It's not an engagement ring per se but it means he's staking a claim and she agrees but no sooner does she wish him off, she's ready to shift her focus to a new crop of guys; this time from the Marines. I guess she was the tramp of her day, using guys to feel good about herself but not really caring that much about them.
