How old is everyone?

I know it's straying away from talking about the actual film here but I just want to know how old everyone is out here? Because I know very few people my age who love this film, and I only just turned 18 on the fourth may. So how old are you guys?

I am yet to see rthis version, but jane eyre is one of my favourite books of all time. I am 18 too!!! I love Mr Rochester!!! Cant wait to hire this, i have the BBC 1983 version, which is very true to the book, but badly shot, not enough funding in that one, but still enjoyable (not the book though!!!)

reply

There's a new BBC version coming soon with Toby Stephens. I can't wait for that. I didn't really like Timothy Dalton as Rochester, I don't know why, he wasn't how I expected him to be. This one skips a lot of the book, but Orson Welles compensates magnificantly with his performance as Rochester. And that's quite something for me to say that, because (no offence to any Americans here)I'm bot really in favour of Americans in British roles, just like I don't really love Brits playing Americans, but I love Welles as Rochester, somehow he's really got into the character.

Fifty one and have been a fan of Rochester since I was thirteen (Oh, and I liked Jane, too....)

They don't teach anything at University. I had to recognize ducksh*t for brains by myself.

I'm over 50 and I grew up watching this version, so I bought it on video - I also have the George C. Scott/Susannah York version which I also like very much, although it isnot quite as good as the Welles film

JANE EYRE IN NYC!!!! Rose Nagelberg Theatre

reply

I'm actually 14. I read the book this summer when I was 13 and I loved it. I couldn't get it out of my head either! I don't think the movie is very good though, the 1944 version. I'm hoping the others are better. I knew seeing the movies would kind of ruin it and wouldn't do any justice to the book, and so far it's pretty true. Watching them makes me pretty mad and I'm thinking I better reread it so it's not ruined

I am 68; and have loved this story and the film since I was 10 years old!

Joan and Olivia were such wonderful actresses. As I grew through the years and became an adult; to find out that they were sisters, but not friends was always so sad to me. I must Google to get their biographies.

I have a surrogate Aunt who turned 100 this past October, and she is a fascinating lady full of living history.

I am 66 and Jane Eyre is my favorite novel. A girl in one of my high school classes recommended it to me over 50 years ago. I have read the book several times. Even recommended it to my dad who was a school teacher at the time.
