IF YOU LIKE OR DO NOT LIKE THE 1943 VERSION---HEAR THIS!

THER HAVE BEEN OVER TWENTY MOVIES OF JANE EYRE-----I HAVE VIEWED EIGHTEEN------YOU HAVE MANY CHOICES OF VERY FINE FILMS TO EVALUATE---ALL CAN BE EVALUATED AND CAN CHOOSE YOUR FAVORITE----IN MY OPINION,THE ONLY ACTRESS PERFORMING THE YOUNG JANE WITH PERFECTION IS "PEGGY ANN GARNER"-THE FIRST CHILD ACTRESS TO RECEIVE A SPECIAL OSCAR FOR A TREE GROWS IN BROOKLYN--I HAVE TO SAY THE 1943 version is my preference---(REMEMBER THE OLD TIMER KNOWS BEST)

"PEGGY ANN GARNER"-THE FIRST CHILD ACTRESS TO RECEIVE A SPECIAL OSCAR FOR A TREE GROWS IN BROOKLYN"

Actually Shirley Temple, Deanna Durbin, Judy Garland and Margaret O'Brien had received the Juvenile Oscar before Peggy Ann Garner received her Juvenile Oscar.
Has always caught my attention this award as many of those winners with some notable exceptions did not have a brilliant career adult and are forgotten today.
Even during those years when the award was presented there were Oscar nominees who were minors and would have been worthy worthy of Juvenile Oscar: Bonita Granville for These Three, Ann Blyth for Mildred Pierce, Brandon deWilde for Shane, Sal Mineo for Rebel Without a Cause, Natalie Wood for Rebel Without a Cause and Patty McCormack for The Bad Seed.

And Peggy Ann Garner, she is one of the most natural child actresses I've seen. Her performance in Jane Eyre and A Tree Grows in Brooklyn is just beautiful. 
