Was anyone else disturbed by the casual racism when the Marines sing "In the evening by the moonlight/You can hear the darkies singing" when Dane Clark launches into another of his "stories"?

I agree!! If it was produced this year back to the '70's, I would be outraged. But get it over it....this was made in 1942!!

Maybe that is why this wonderful short isn't shown more often.. I love it..Darkies was used a lot to refer to friendly native Islanders by guys in WWII Pacific.
