Watched it last time around but can't wait to see it again - been awhile since . Anyone else watching this one tonight also ?

reply

I've seen a few of the Frankenstein movies but I don't think I've ever seen this one.

I'm microwaving the popcorn right now!

Excellent Eddysfitzboy ! I think you will like this one ( I did ! ) . Yes this is a definite popcorn flick enjoy it ! Thanks for your reply .

I enjoy the Saturday night horror flicks that METV has been showing but I don't much care for all the commercials with Svengoolie. At least with Elvira, there was some eye candy. Oh well, I guess I'll have a couple more smokes than I normally would.

I agree Eddysfitzboy . When I first started watching this show a couple of years ago I found the sudden cut-offs to Sven and commercials a bit distracting . Now I'm so used to it plus there is a bit of interesting trivia about the actors and the movie itself in between the commercial breaks ( make lemonade out of lemons situation ? ) .

reply

I'm about 12 minutes away from watching it. Not sure if I've seen it before. If I have, it was a while ago and I've forgotten about it.

Well now it will be a new / old movie for you again . It was like that for me tonight . I thought it was better than I remembered it as well ( even though I only remembered a few scenes and forgot most others ? ) . Enjoy the show dreadpirate46 and thanks for your reply .

This film is 67 minutes long yet takes up a 2 hour time slot. Why give this channel ratings? Until people smarten up and stop watching these movies due to the excessive commercials, it will continue to get worse and worse. This film should use a 90 min time slot

reply

MeTV may not be a high end channel like TCM ( Turner Classic Movies - another fine channel too ). At least for what it's worth this commercial channel doesn't edit the shows ( to my knowledge anyway ) and the show end credits are not put into that " annoying split screen format " to show more ads like SyFy and CHILLER Channels have adopted most recently . Plus if you have to choose a channel with commercials interruptions ( and have quality classic shows ) MeTV has way fewer ones then the two mention above here . MeTV seems like the better channel IMPO . Thanks for your important input on this matter mill722002 .

Those Universal classics from the 30's and 40's didn't have long credit rolls anyways. Sure ME TV may not edit the movies but a 67 minute long movie in a 2 hour time slot is ridiculous. And to make matters worse, the scenes are interrupted for commercial breaks all of a sudden. The film continuity works in a 90 minute time slot but no way a 2 hour one. But until folks wise up and stop giving it ratings, this will continue

" Those Universal classics from the 30's and 40's didn't have long credit rolls anyways. Sure ME TV may not edit the movies but a 67 minute long movie in a 2 hour time slot is ridiculous. " -- I agree mill722002 that's true . It would be great if this channel would just show double features of these shorter movies from the 1930's & 40's on Saturday nights . Then perhaps the time slot would be filled properly . -- " But until folks wise up and stop giving it ratings, this will continue " -- I can't speak for everyone here of course . IMPO I would think if the viewers complained way too much about every little thing pertaining to this channel it would start to go downhill fast like SyFy and CHILLER did . Sometimes with the mountains of complaints from viewers these networks get all confused and then start to make too many of the " wrong changes " and then the channel becomes chaotic and totally unwatchable on all levels . Again all this just my personal opinion here from what I have seen of other past channels on cable ( like the two mentioned above here ) .

PLUS, you can DVR and skip the commercials, after you watch Sven's kitch.
