That's fantastifc! I only hope now that they release it on Blu-ray, with tonnes of extras and all. And then move on to restore "Hamlet" and "Richard III". Wow, that's made my day, even if it is a few months late. Can't wait to see the restored version now, even if Criterion's version was really well presented.

I've just seen both Hamlet and Henry V in the new high-definition transfers (at the Edinburgh Film Festival), and they look fantastic.

I went to see it at the cinema, only showing for 1 day, it was great, I had always wanted to see the charge of the French Knights on the big screen, it was well worth it.

Wasn't it just? I wasn't disappointed and the cleaning frame by frame of the film for digitisation has worked wonders. Detail, you never knew was there, is startingly revealed - the colour is glorious, Laurence Oliver is soo deliciously handsome and the battle of Agincourt is something else.

I just acquired the remastered version, and I think it is too clean. The old version had a certain charm about it. The flaws in the film were part of the experience. Still, it is good to see this movie again. It is one of the best movies ever made.
