Banned for wearing a white shirt?
The trivia section states that the movie was "Banned in several Latin American countries because Bing Crosby wore a white shirt as a priest." Can someone please explain this?

shareI came here looking for that explanation as well. I have no idea what that means.
shareJust a WILD guess - the Church has immensely varying local customs. PERHAPS in certain Latin countries, a white shirt on a cleric signals a criminal informality - you know, it's something a lay person can wear, but a holy priest MUST ALWAYS be seen wearing clerical black. Again - just a guess!
