'You Remember Timmy? He's A Priest, Too!'

One of the great untold stories in movies was the relationship between Chuck O'Malley, Genevieve Linden and Tim O'Dowd. Two grow up to become priests, one grows up to sing at the Met . . . mskes me sometimes wonder as to the rest of the class at East St. Louis High.

anyone who grows up and "wants" to become a "Priest" has psychological problems and don;t have a life. In the old days. all these priets were homosexual men and women who thought they could hide behind the Church and committ these child molester crimes without consequences. I guess thats over ,now they will have to find another "profession" where they can hide. Incidentally this is the worst, stupid movie they ever made.

Have issues much?

"I'm not reckless . . . I'm skillful!"

reply

No. I don;t have any issues other then the spin the Church tries to put on these Priests who molested children for at least 100 years. maybe longer. As I said ,the only reason these child molesters wanted to become Priests was because they could hide behind the Church if they got caught ,and they did get caught.Sorry about that. Would you prefer we changed the truth or cover it up??

reply

No, I don't ask that any sort of Truth be changed or covered up. That would be wrong. But, in the first place, I also don't ask that an entire group of people be condemned because of the actions of some.

In the second place, I feel that railing against this movie because of the moral shortcomings of the Catholic Church is rather like condemning Grimm's Fairy Tales because of what the Nazis did. There's a little thing known as Perspective which I usually apply in such situations.

YOu want to make excuses for the church ,keep spinning. This movie makes me ill, I am not backing off my original review.whether you like it or not makes no difference. The church used this movie for their own propaganda *beep* machine. Ok. lets go with the movie. Bing Crosby was not a good actor,He was kind of a wannabe Joke like Bob Hope who also could not act. These movies were made for old people who bought the old church propaganda.Incidentally the other old people like Barry Fitzgerald could act. The usual silly story about the Priests "helping" out poor people or some *beep* this is not a good movie .politically correct or not. these are my last words on this. I have another life and more movies to review.

reply

Yea, deadzombie, you'll certainly be remembered long after this movie is forgotten. I should look up you other "reviews". Or perhaps, not.

reply

Dead zombie sounds like he's sorry he can't have a crack at some young boys

reply

And yet you seem to work a comment (or several) into every thread..we get the point you are virulently anti-Catholic and obsessed with this film.

let's go and say a prayer for a boy who couldn't run as fast as I could

You're missing an entire world outside your parent's basement.

reply

I agree. The relationships in this film are so great.

I guess they all learned that they would rather carry moonbeams home in a jar.

If they could of sonehow fount talented younger kods to play their highschool self, that'd be quite the picture. A moondrenched evening on a settling pond, heading back home after catching some fireflies.
