UK blu-ray release.

Hey, (first post in years)

I watched this a few years ago and can't stop thinking about it. I'm a avid blu-ray collector but (in the UK) it's never seen a blu-ray release and the only DVD release dates back from 2004.

I understand it's not the most popular film, but I'm puzzled why this multi award winning film has never seen a re-release, given the amount of older films that are now accessible. I also can't find it on any streaming service.

So a few questions:

Does anyone know of any (legal) way to obtain a good quality version of film?

Does anyone know who's the current rights holder for the film (UK or Worldwide)? Is its rights issue as to why it's not been released?

Can any US people recommend the blu-ray release?

Lastly, anyone heard any rumours of a release?

Thanks people. :)

Well, the DVD is being reissued next February in UK (along with several other Wyler/Goldwyn collaborations) but still no sign of a blu-ray. The US blu-ray is region free so it is probably worth importing it.

I don't think there's anything extraordinary about me except this passion for the truth.

This truly is a mystery. You're right; it's not. But why is truly a mystery. I think the answer is that it cuts too close to the bone.
