Actually it was: "What'd ya' shoot 'im for?"
Response: "I was afraid the fall might kill 'im!"

Thanks for the clarification. By the time I'd logged in to IMDB to type that out, I'd already forgotten the exact lines. :P

Don't feel bad, I was watching this film on Saturday mornings before you were born.
Like Flying Tigers I can just about recite all the dialogue as it's delivered.
