'Splain to me
Why is this movie listed as 'Man of Evil' in IMBd when its title is 'Fanny by Gaslight'.
Is this a multi-DVD title?
I believe "Man of Evil" is the US movie title because most people here think of "Fanny" as a slang term for the buttocks, not a woman's name.
shareEveryone in the USofA does not automatically think of buttocks, as Peter J does, when hearing "Fanny".
Don't think this was much of an issue in the title changes. The title was translated into something similar to "Man Of Evil" in Belgium, Portugal, and several other non-Eglish-speaking countries where "Fanny" doesn't carry any special conotations.
