what happened to the knife wound ??

About 27 minutes into the movie, Miss Drake is attacked, cut in the head with a knife. blood is seen running out of the wound.
In the next scene with Miss Drake, there is NO SIGN of a wound...her forehead is flawless! Wasn't there a continuity director on these B movies ??
