Location of old mansion

The house where the old lady and her strange daughter live was the Russell Judson Waters mansion at 900 West Adams Boulevard in the once-fashionable West Adams district near what later became the location of the University of Southern California, a few miles southwest of downtown LA. The house was also the same mansion used as the haunted house in William Castle's 1960 film, "13 Ghosts." The house was later demolished.
