A Beautiful, Haunting, Magical Film

If you are strictly into Horror you may not enjoy it. Is a special, sensitive, little gem of a movie. Put it on late at night when you are not in a critical mood and re-embrace your innocence. And enjoy this unusual, unappreciated piece of Filmmaking.

This is a wonderful, moody lyrical meditation on life and death. I didn't like it quite as much as the original "Cat People," but it stands well on its own. 7/10 stars from me.

I agree, it was a very good film. 8/10 for me.

I didn't enjoy it much in my first viewing, about 4 years ago, but last night I re-watched it and liked it a lot. It was beautifully filmed; loved the atmosphere, and the little girl gave an amazing, moving performance, as well as the old lady who befriended her. Oh, and finally the gorgeous, mysterious Elizabeth Russell was given more than one line and much more screen minutes in a Val Lewton movie!

I did watch this film expecting it to be a horror movie, but was not disappointed at all when I found out it wasn't. It is one of the most beautiful films I've ever seen. The ending of the film actually brought a tear to my eye. I am glad I watched this movie.
